Welcome
My name is George
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Sonoma County, dedicated to helping adults, adolescents, and new fathers navigate life’s challenges. With over a decade of experience working with adolescents and a growing specialization in supporting men through the transition into fatherhood, my practice offers a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Practices. ACT focuses on fostering psychological flexibility by helping clients align their actions with their core values, even in the presence of difficult emotions. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client, whether that means helping a teen manage anxiety, guiding a new father through identity shifts, or supporting someone facing a major life transition. Fathers looking for specialized support can explore our Therapy for Fathers page to learn more.
During our sessions, I prioritize collaboration to identify meaningful goals and create a pathway to achieve them. Whether in person at my Petaluma office or through telehealth, I am here to support you on your journey toward a more fulfilling life.

Clinical Experience
Before establishing my practice, I gained extensive experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. In 2015, I served as a Recovery Counselor at an adolescent treatment center in Sonoma County. During this role, I developed a deep understanding and passion for supporting adolescents and their families through a range of challenges and transitions.
After earning my master’s degree in counseling psychology in 2019, I joined the non-profit organization North Marin Community Services, based in Novato, CA. While at NMCS, I provided school-based therapy services at two middle schools in Novato and agency-based therapy services directly from NMCS. I eventually served as a clinical supervisor, supporting and mentoring other therapists while overseeing program quality and client care.
Working with teens
Therapy Schedule
Before meeting with any minor, I require an initial assessment with the parent (s) or guardian(s). Then, I will meet with your child individually and begin developing a treatment plan. Many teens can initially be resistant to therapy, so I try my best to create a safe environment where they can openly discuss their experiences. I work hard to maintain the confidentiality of my adolescent clients and invite parents into sessions when it is clinically recommended or desired.
Monday-Friday
Typical sessions are 50 minutes once per week.
